 1: Children’s Health & Illness

Children’s health and safety is of the highest priority for the school as it is for the parents. We need to work together to create a healthy and safe environment for all. For the health of your children and family members, please comply with the following guidelines:

1: Children’s Health & Illness

1) When your child is sick or running a fever, please keep them at home to rest. This will aid children to recover faster, and is also important to avoid other children getting ill.

2) If your child has a frequent or persistent cough, runny nose, fever or other illness, please do not send them to school. If your child develops such symptoms in school, diagnosis will be made by the school doctor to decide whether to notify you to take the child home. Once all symptoms of illness disappear, your child is welcome to come back to school.

3) If your child need to take medication during school hours, parents should prepare the proper medicine dosage, mark the child’s name on the medicine, complete the “Peninsula medication for children in kindergarten registration form” and hand it to the school doctor. The school doctor and classroom teacher will arrange and assist the child to take their medication as directed.

4) Every morning the school doctor will do a morning check for every child. If a child is identified with any symptoms of discomfort or sickness, we will ask you to take your child home for a rest until all symptoms disappear.

2: Unexpected Illness or Accident
